Boarding schools, children homes, correctional education organizations, educational institutions, and technical and professional education organisations took part in the competition.
They created 22 ice towns on the territory of educational organizations, each of which was characterized by its originality. Commission noted the originality and creativity involved, use of advanced technologies for lighting, use of new territories for the installation, as well as the functionality of snow figures. Christmas trees, snow figures, slides, ice rinks, recreation and entertainmen areas emerged on the territory of educational organizations with the help of students, pupils, and teaching staff.
After some discussion, the title of the "Best ice town - 2011" was given to the town created by Kostanay regional children's home (1st place). The Jury noted the complexity of the execution of the following sculptures: "Eagle", "Flying Leopard", "Kulager", "Golden Man", "Baiterek", "Uurt", "Ayala-alakan."
The award for the best embodiment of the artistic design was an ice town located in the Sarykol College of Agribusiness and Law (2nd place).
The most functional ice camp award received a town created by Preschool children's home (Rudniy), where the fairy-tale characters were created used as sports facilities for children's home (3rd place).
Winners of the contest that took I, II, III place will be awarded with diplomas and cash prizes.
